Blastcool Outdoor Fridges

Blastcool makes outdoor fridges for outdoor kitchens. Its engineers have spent about 30 years designing commercial-grade cooling for restaurants and five-star hotels, and its sister company, Staycold, has built commercial beverage coolers since 1979 for brewers including Heineken. Blastcool fridges are installed on superyachts, in London rooftop gardens and at poolside bars across Australia.

In Australia the range is the Extremis iXP1, a 130 litre fridge that fits inside your cabinetry, behind a door panel that matches the rest of your outdoor kitchen.

  • Cold in the heat. Holds drinks at 1°C on a 43°C day, and copes with ambient temperatures as low as -25°C.
  • Marine-grade steel. AISI 316 stainless outside, polished 304 mirror-finish stainless inside.
  • Tested for outdoors. Independently safety tested to IP24, so angled rain and splashing water are fine. Install it outdoors under cover.
  • Takes your panel. Carries a décor panel up to 19mm thick and 20kg, with 3D adjustment to line it up with the cabinets around it.
  • Opens clear. Articulated hinges open the door to 115° without touching the cabinetry beside it, or to 90° with the limiter pin. Soft-close, and the hinge is reversible.
  • Runs lean. Danfoss electronic controller with abnormal voltage protection, R600a natural refrigerant, 9 star energy rating and about $96 a year to run at 25.64c per kWh.
