About Dual Zone Bar Fridges

A dual zone wine fridge runs two independently controlled temperature zones in one cabinet: beer cold on one side, wine at cellar temperature on the other. No compromise, no second appliance. 10 dual zone models, 122-405L, $760.00 to $2,153.65, all Schmick, every one with a glass door and a lock.

Why dual zone?

  • Two temperatures, one cabinet: lagers at 2-5°C and reds at 12-18°C at the same time. This is the same thing buyers call a dual zone beverage fridge, a dual zone wine and beverage fridge or a dual zone beverage and wine cooler.
  • Real capacity numbers: the JC165B holds 90 cans, the SK198D 88, and the 244L SK228D 110.
  • Under bench or upright: 7 of the 10 stand 900mm tall or less, so they drop into a bench cavity. The small dual zone wine fridge in the range is the 122L JC132D at 800mm tall and 595mm wide, $760.00. The BD425D uprights give 405L at 1,800mm.
  • Serving, not cellaring: these hold drinking temperature precisely. For decade-long aging you would want a humidity-controlled cabinet instead.

Dual wine fridge, dual wine cooler, dual zone bar fridge

Same cabinet, different words. A dual wine fridge, a dual wine cooler and a dual zone bar fridge all describe a two-zone unit; what changes is what you put in each side. Search for a wine cooler fridge dual zone and you land here too. Every unit in the range runs at 43-44dB and carries a 2-year warranty, and all 10 are in stock.

If you only drink beer, a standard beer fridge may be all you need. For dedicated wine storage see wine fridges; for two-cabinet setups browse the beer & wine combo range including the outdoor Rhino pairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

A dual zone bar fridge has two independent temperature compartments in one unit. You can keep beer ice cold at 2-5°C in one zone and wine at 10-14°C in the other — no need for two separate fridges.

Dual zone fridges use a single compressor with two separate evaporators and independent thermostats. Each zone has its own temperature sensor and control, allowing precise independent adjustment.

If you regularly drink both beer and wine, yes. One dual zone fridge costs less to buy and run than two separate fridges, and takes up half the floor space. If you only drink beer, a standard single-zone fridge is all you need.
