What integrated means
An integrated fridge hides behind a door that matches your cabinets. The cabinet door is fixed to the fridge door with a door-on-door hinge, so they open together and the kitchen or bar reads as one run of joinery. All 8 here are panel ready: the cabinet door is yours, made to match. A built-in bar fridge is different: it shows its own glass or stainless door and vents through the front. Those are on the under bench fridges page.
Upright or under the bench
4 are 1,770mm uprights for a tall cabinet: an all-fridge column, an all-freezer column, a fridge and freezer in one column, and a 1,080mm-wide fridge and freezer pair. 4 are 820 to 840mm tall and go under a bench: a fridge, a freezer, a 1,190mm-wide fridge and freezer pair, and the Blastcool iXP1 for an outdoor kitchen.
Measuring the cavity
On BFA's figures, the Schmick upright columns need a cavity 1,782mm high (plus or minus 3mm), 556mm wide (plus or minus 3mm) and at least 560mm deep, 600mm recommended. The MSL110 and MSF90 under-counter units need 820 to 870mm of height, at least 600mm of width and 550mm of depth, with a 100 to 150mm kickboard. The iXP1 needs 618mm wide, 668mm deep and 850mm high, and takes a door panel up to 19mm thick. Each listing has its own installation notes.
Ventilation
An integrated fridge still has to breathe. BFA asks for a vent in the kick panel of the upright columns and a channel for air behind and above the unit, at least 200cm². The iXP1 needs 5mm at the top and sides and 50mm behind. Plan the vent with your cabinet maker before the joinery is built.
What it costs to run
On BFA's figures, from $22 a year for the MSL110 to $96 for the iXP1 outdoors. The upright columns cost about $47 a year each and the MC560-INT pair about $94. The Schmick uprights run at 42dB and the Schmick under-counter units at 39dB on the maker's figures.
