Schmick Bar Fridges

Frequently Asked Questions

Who makes Schmick bar fridges?

Schmick is an Australian-designed bar fridge brand, built to Australian electrical and safety standards (MEPS, SAA electrical and EMC approvals). It is one of the most popular ranges we sell, and KingCave is a Schmick stockist.

Are Schmick bar fridges any good?

Schmick is the best-selling bar fridge brand in Australia with over 180 models covering every size and use case. They're known for quiet operation, energy efficiency (5–10 star ratings), and features like heated glass doors and front-venting for built-in installation. They consistently receive 4.5–5 star customer reviews.

What warranty do Schmick bar fridges come with?

All Schmick bar fridges include a 2-year parts and labour warranty as standard. We handle warranty claims directly — you deal with us, not the manufacturer. Extended warranty options are available at checkout for additional coverage.

What is the difference between Schmick and Rhino bar fridges?

Schmick offers the widest range at competitive prices, for indoor bars and for alfresco areas that are enclosed and under cover. Rhino specialises in commercial and outdoor models, with IP24 ratings for open alfresco areas and 316 marine-grade stainless steel on its ENVY range. For an open alfresco area or heavy commercial use, choose Rhino. For everything else, Schmick.

Does Schmick make outdoor bar fridges?

Yes. Most Schmick models are rated for indoors or an outdoor area that is enclosed and under cover, such as a covered alfresco or patio, and the range includes alfresco models like the HUS-EX108. Schmick models are not IP rated for open areas exposed to rain. For those, Rhino's GSP and ENVY ranges are rated IP24.

What sizes do Schmick bar fridges come in?

Schmick offers bar fridges from 26L mini fridges up to 825L commercial upright units. Popular sizes include 50L (countertop), 70L (retro/mini), 165L (under-bench dual zone), 370L (tall upright), and 405L (wine/beverage combo). With over 180 models, there's a Schmick for every space.

Can I get a Schmick bar fridge with my own branding?

Yes — many Schmick models are available as custom branding options. Upload your logo and we'll create a free photorealistic mockup within 24 hours. Popular models for custom branding include the SC70 (70L glass door), SC372B (370L upright), and SS-P160FA (160L slim upright).
