Under the bar or upright
28 of the 43 are 840mm-class fridges that sit under a bar top or bench, holding 100 to 388 litres across one, two or three doors. 6 are uprights of 1,800mm or more, holding 293 to 825 litres, for a shop floor, cafe or cool room door. Glass, solid or open
32 have glass doors, so customers and staff see the stock; 16 of those have heated glass, which stays clear in warm, humid air. 7 have solid doors, for back-of-house and outdoor bars in the sun. 4 are open-front display fridges with no door at all, built for indoor retail: grab-and-go is faster, but they cost far more to run (below). Fridge or freezer
4 are freezers, from 50 to 810 litres, with glass doors so stock can be found without holding the door open. The upright freezers run to -22°C on BFA's figures. Everything else is a fridge.
Hot rooms and outdoors
A back bar behind a busy counter gets hot. BFA rates the Rhino SG under bench range to chill to 1 to 2°C in a 38°C room, and the SGT uprights to hold it in 32°C. Most models here are listed for indoor use or outdoors under cover. The 6 Rhino ENV models are 316 marine-grade stainless and IP24 rated for outdoor use. Fitting it
The Rhino SG2, SG3 and ENV under bench models vent through the front, so BFA asks for 50mm behind and 10mm each side: they can be built in under a bar. The uprights need 60 to 150mm behind and the open fronts 100mm. Check each listing's clearances against your space before you order. The Rhino SG, SGT and ENV models lock.
What it costs to run
On the maker's figures, a Rhino SG2H 208L costs about $188 a year to run with plain glass and $300 with heated glass.
