The shape came out of Pininfarina, drawn around the engine and the airflow: a low, wide nose, a cabin pushed well forward and a tail that finishes in a full-width wing. Seen head-on it is almost all bonnet and headlamps, with the cabin sitting low behind them and the wing just showing over the roof.
Here it comes straight down the middle of a wet city avenue at night, between two rows of cherry blossom, with towers and neon behind, the headlamps lit and the road shining in front of it. The picture is symmetrical - pink and teal, with the red car dead centre - so it works best hung where you face it square on: the end of a hallway, above a bar, the wall opposite the couch.
